Christmas Affair Toy Drive 2026: Bringing Joy, Hope, and Learning to Local Children
The holiday season is a time for giving, sharing, and making memories. But for some families, buying Christmas gifts can be difficult when money is needed for food, housing, and other everyday needs. That is why Outdoor Life Leadership is proud to support the Christmas Affair Toy Drive 2026, a community effort to bring smiles, hope, and educational opportunities to children.
Who Is the Toy Drive For?
The Christmas Affair Toy Drive supports children ages 0–14 and families in our community. Every child deserves to experience the excitement of receiving a gift and knowing that someone cares about them.
Outdoor Life Leadership is a volunteer-based nonprofit serving Winston-Salem and surrounding communities. Our mission is to help young people build practical skills, confidence, leadership, and problem-solving abilities. Through community efforts like this toy drive, we also work to support families and help children discover new ways to learn and grow.
What Toys Are Needed?
We are collecting new toys for children of different ages, with a special focus on educational toys. Donors can help by giving items such as:
Babies and toddlers: Soft sensory toys, board books, stacking cups, and shape sorters.
Ages 3–7: Building blocks, magnetic tiles, alphabet puzzles, counting games, and art supplies.
Ages 8–10: Science kits, building sets, logic puzzles, geography games, and beginner coding toys.
Ages 11–14: Robotics kits, electronics projects, strategy games, advanced puzzles, and creative design supplies.
These gifts offer more than entertainment. They can help children practice reading, explore science, improve problem-solving skills, and use their imaginations.
When and Where Can You Donate?
Mark your calendar for Friday, December 4, 2026!
Toy donations will be accepted at the following location:
Location:
Old Shannon Hills Plaza
Greensboro, North Carolina
Date: December 4, 2026
Time: 11:00 AM–10:00 PM
Drop-off options: In-person Donation Box or drop-off.
Please consider bringing a new, age-appropriate toy to help make the holiday season joyful for a child. Check all age labels and safety warnings when selecting toys.
Why Does This Toy Drive Matter?
A toy may seem like a small gift, but it can make a lasting difference. A building set can inspire a future engineer. A science kit can spark curiosity. A book can open the door to new ideas. An art kit can help a child express creativity and discover new talents.
Most importantly, a donated toy can remind a child and family that their community cares.
How Can You Help?
Getting involved is simple. Choose a new toy, bring it to the designated drop-off location on December 4, and encourage friends, family, and neighbors to join the effort.
At Outdoor Life Leadership, we believe in our Learn It. Practice It. Use It. approach. Educational toys support this same idea by giving children opportunities to explore, practice, and apply new skills through play.
Together, we can make Christmas brighter for children and families in our community.
Give a toy. Share a smile. Build a prosperous future.
